Sand Lake Center for the Arts – is a not for profit multi-arts center located in an 1835 renovated, historically significant church in Sand Lake, Rensselaer County. With a mission to enrich community life through discovering, appreciating and creating excellence in theatre, the performing arts and the visual arts the Center’s activities promote the multidisciplinary arts and personal creative and artistic growth through presentation, education and participation. SLCA opened its door in 2003, after successfully renovating the building for handicap accessibility and public gatherings.

Circle Theatre Players, the resident award winning theatrical group celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2010-11 with an assortment of workshops, theatrical productions, an anniversary event, and a world premier musical “Hart’s Tavern”.

The Squire Jacob Coffeehouse, which began in 2004, continues to provide fine acoustic music to our audiences with nationally and internationally recognized artists.

The Gallery at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts boasts an airy, light filled gallery and reception area featuring the original stained glass windows and host to eight exhibits annually.

Summer Youth programming offers an extensive program of summer workshops for children, including arts, crafts, and theater.
